Case Study - Distributed Processing System and Web Service Integration

Sys Consulting Limited turned to Shore Tech Systems to integrate a specialist signal processing library with a public web site. This project had a number of large hurdles to overcome:

  • The signal processing was computationally expensive
  • The processing times during development were too high for public use
  • The processing solutions had to be consumed by existing web sites whilst being maintained and operated independently
  • The signal processing algorithms were implemented in MatLab
  • The MatLab algorithms must be secure and not distributed to 3rd parties
